PRIVACY & YOUR LEARNING
Learning progress and saved cards are stored in a browser namespace for your authenticated LearnFrench learner record. Public visitors can store voice preferences and theme choice. These are not public records. No advertising pixels or optional analytics are enabled.
When configured, centralized Qonsult sign-in uses the existing Qonsult Firebase project. LearnFrench stores your Firebase user identifier and learning state in its own database. We do not copy Qonsult profiles or passwords. Sync is explicit from your dashboard. The dashboard allows exporting and deleting LearnFrench account data; deletion does not delete your shared Firebase identity or other Qonsult accounts.
Each website uses its own secure, HttpOnly, host-only session cookie. Qonsult coordinates session expiry and logout; LearnFrench checks that authority before protected requests. Short-lived, browser-bound sign-in continuations help you return to your lesson after verification. They expire automatically and do not grant access without sign-in. No shared parent-domain authentication cookie is used.
French speech uses the browser Web Speech API. Some device voices work offline; other voices may send text to the operating system or browser provider. This app does not upload microphone recordings or use paid TTS services.
Browser learning state remains until you clear it. Account learning data remains until you delete it. Editorial revisions are retained to preserve source lineage and accountability. Infrastructure providers may retain operational logs according to their configuration; learning answer text must not be added to those logs.
Use Dashboard to export or remove browser and account learning state. Clearing browser storage removes local preferences. Contact the operator through the verified Qonsult website for privacy requests. Operator identity, hosting agreements and a formal retention schedule must be confirmed before public launch.
